Here you can find just a small selection:
Brixen and the capital Bozen
Brixen Cathedral
The old town of Brixen is a baroque jewel located at the confluence of the Eisack and Rienz. In a city tour you should visit also the Cathedral of the Assumption. Its unmistakable Romanesque origin, the ceiling frescoes in the cloister and magnificent baroque enhancements turn this sacred building into a charming sight.

Archaeology Museum Bozen
The near Bozen with a medieval old town is worth a visit anyway. But the Archaeological Museum is once again a highlight in itself. Among other interesting exhibits you will meet there one of the most famous South Tyroleans: the glacier man "Ötzi".

Historic fortresses and mining history
Fortress Franzenfeste
The Habsburg monarchy built this defiant and monumental citadel to protect the Eisacktal. Its three forts consist largely of granite and make very good clear what particular strategic value had again our valley. The Fortezza has been opened to the public only recently.

Historic mine Villanders
If you visit the region around Klausen during your holiday in the Eisacktal, you cannot miss the Adventure Mine Villanders. Try to see today live how once silver was unearthed in Pfunderer mine!
Festung-Franzensfeste
Säben Monastery and Felthurns Castle
Säben Monastery
Even from afar you can see this impressive monastery complex in Klausen perched on a diorite rock. Its interior will lead you through the rich church and art history of the region from the 4th century to the Rococo period.

Velthurns Castle
North to Klausen you can admire the former castle of the lords of Feldthurns, one of the most interesting buildings of the Tyrolean Renaissance with a magnificent state hall and prince rooms.

Neustift Abbey
North to Brixen, you can visit the most important monastery during your holiday in the Eisacktal. The abbey from 1142 was repeatedly rebuilt and in addition to the baroque collegiate church, offers further interesting attractions such as the miraculous fountain, a cloister from the Middle Ages, the beautiful rococo library and the grave of the famous South Tyrolean minstrel Oswald von Wolkenstein.
